Translated as Mangrove Island, was what inspired a book by Martin Wickramasinghe, about two village friends that take on an adventure into the mangrove swamps by canoe. Set within Koggala Lagoon, Madol Duwa is one of the many breathtaking sights amongst mangrove islands, down south. These mangroves can be visit by boat.
