Minneriya National Park

The Park is located in the middle of the two renowned cities of Polonaruwa and Habarana and therefore, is easily accessible. From Colombo the Park sits at a distance of just under 200km. Minneriya sprawls with teeming wildlife; migratory birds and also elephants. A green wonder, the Park spans 8890 hectares of beautiful landscapes and water features. An ancient tank dating back to the 3^rd century AD, still holds much of the precious water, where many animals can be observed making their way to quench their thirst.
